Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

We originally started using monday.com with a web developer company to track the progress of development tasks on our company website. I have since started using it to project manage certain areas of the business with freelancers and external companies, as well as my own task list and progress.

Cons

  • Working with our developer agency using monday.com has been hugely valuable in maintaining the efficiency of our website. When things go wrong with a website, opening an 'urgent' task on monday.com and being able to notify our account managers is a much quicker solution than waiting for a reply to an email.
  • General productivity and efficiency in my own role in marketing have increased since using monday.com, as well being able to track my own progress when carrying out tasks has also been handy to visualise the success of work I carry out.
monday.com is self-explanatory and very easy to use straight 'out of the box', however for those who do have difficulty, there is step by step guides to assist. I'm more of a trial and error type of person when learning new software, so when we were first introduced to monday.com I had a look around, changed some settings, and learnt how I like to use the platform. Which is another positive of monday.com; the fact it allows users to work out how they like to use it and having the ability of being able to customise more or less everything about tasks, workflows using board edits as well as automations, makes Monday feel like a tailor made product to the user.
I have not been in a position to need support from monday.com.
I have not experienced any downtime from monday.com as far as I can remember, however, it would be useful to have offline working in case internet access is an issue.

monday.com is my only experience of a work management tool other than Trello, and I much prefer monday.com's UI, and to me it is a much more intuitive tool for workflow management. Collaborating with colleagues within the business and externally is simple and effective. The transparency of having view receipts on messages allows me to know when someone has seen a task update, and automating board management based on job status, email notifications with updates, and being able to use the app for mac are some highlights. I use it day to day for my own task to do list which has helped massively with productivity and task tracking.
