Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

We use monday to manage projects and aim to track progress updates and comments related to that project in monday.com, the aim is for it to be a go to for people to quickly understand the status of any project or body of work and easily look at the actions required in order to reach our goals. It's a great product, but for a designer it can be hard to stay on top of the more admin side of tracking our work in monday.com, especially as projects evolve and more work comes along on the roadmap.

Pros

  • Consolidates team projects
  • Allows you to update and add comments to items and sub items
  • Responsive UI based on your actions
  • Easy to move projects around
  • Allows you to add attachments and documents to support a project

Cons

  • I think as the competitive landscape for project management software evolves it creates a bit of an issue for the user. I think intergrations are key and being able to add those update from another platform would be great.
  • I think monday.com boards can be forgotten about, so some manager tools to help run through the boards rather than just share the screen would help take it to the next level. I have a concept for this which could work well for you [@me ...]
  • Off platform how does monday.com help a project manager, I am not one myself but things like motivation and or some sort of daily optimisation could help them maybe.
  • Helped progress the business roadmap
  • Helped reduced time saved managing projects
  • Allowed the business to get a birds eye view of the projects it is currently running
I think the UX/UI of the platform is great, all of it's features seem very well thought out. I am sure it has so much capability I don't know of purely due to my role as a designer and only wanting to really spend time in the platform when I have to.
I can't say I have needed to reach out to anyone an monday.com, but based on the product it's success and the UX I am just rating based on what I expect which is good things.
I think performance wise, I can't think of a time it's let me down or ever been painfully slow, so it's been good from that perspective.

Do you think monday.com delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with monday.com's feature set?

Yes

Did monday.com live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of monday.com go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy monday.com again?

Yes

I think monday.com is suited to project managers and unfortunately it gets given to designers or employees who lack motivation or the time to track their work and timelines. We view monday.com as one of our last priorities in terms of attention, we like to design and spend time in Figma, Photoshop ect. Whilst it's always appropriate to manage projects and businesses in the right way, when your busy and your job in theory isn't to manage time or projects it can become a tricky task.
