Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

My company uses monday.com to track long and short-term projects that require delegation throughout departments. It's been a great tool to track and communicate progress with fellow team members, but also for keeping myself accountable for personal to-do's. We update monday.com after our weekly department meeting then refer to it throughout the week to stay on course for project deadlines.

Pros

  • In my experience, monday.com effectively gives an at-a-glance view of each individual's assigned tasks and their dates under "My Work"
  • I think monday.com makes it easily to delegate work throughout your organization with the ability to assign tasks to individuals within teams/groups.
  • I think monday.com does a great job with task progress tracking using the customizable "status" labels.

Cons

  • I would like to see a weekly or monthly calendar somewhere, possibly under "My work", so that I can get a big-picture visual of my workload in relation to time. If there were other options for layouts like this I think it would be more effective for folks that process information best in different ways than list form.
  • monday.com has improved our interdepartmental communication immensely and given us a way to collaborate and distribute responsibilities on large or long-term projects.
For me, monday.com has been very user-friendly, though most of its features I either just stumble upon or coworkers happen to mention to me. They aren't super apparent to locate without going through an introduction video or reading through tips. I feel like I'm probably missing out on things because I haven't had time to study the monday.com manual.
I have not utilized customer support, but it's easy to find and offers various ways to reach out to them or find the answers for yourself in their knowledge base or community forum.
For me, monday.com has been very reliable and effective in managing work. It makes assigning and tracking tasks easy and allows our team to work together, ask for help, and keep one another accountable. Overall I think it's impacted our work management positively and given us a centralized system to utilize while in-office or when working from home.

I think monday.com is very useful when working on larger, long-term projects. Especially when they involve more than one department or team. I haven't found myself using monday.com for personal tasks very often, or even just smaller daily tasks as I feel like the process of archiving finished tasks can be tedious and I don't want to clutter my workspace.
