Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

Our marketing team started out very small, maybe 3-4 people in total, but we hit a point where rapid growth demanded some change.
In a team of 10-12, with offices in several states and changing internal positions - we needed a system that would allow our team to communicate on a level that would expand our turnarounds, our timelines and allow us full visibility into what the other is working - as a team.
monday.com gives our internal strategic marketing team access to our events team and our digital team access as well. Boards easily separate which departments can and need access to what, and our Director can delegate tasks, keep up on project dates, and access all files and notes in a way we didn't have before. monday.com has been a lifesaver for our growing team.

Pros

  • Reminder emails for deadlines
  • Separated team boards for departments

Cons

  • "My Work" doesn't need to contain all the canceled items - makes it confusing
  • Subitems in lists are sometimes visibly unappealing - unsure how to fix this one
  • Calendars - we use for social media- if I accidentally click off the box while I'm typing it erases all the information, and I have to start completely over
  • Time savings

  • Project management and fillable forms
It's visibly appealing, friendly to use, and intuitive, so you don't need a ton of training if you have the common sense to figure things out.
I haven't really had to use a ton of customer service, but the one time I did, they got back to me within a few hours and I was able to accomplish what I needed to pretty quickly.
We have not had monday.com crash on us at all, or at least I have not. So this has thankfully never been an issue.

monday.com is well suited for single users with a TON on their plate that need to be organized into many different categories.
It's a little more difficult for bigger teams that need full visibility into everything, the boards can become overwhelming when there are so many.
It's definitely a tool that will benefit any team that needs gentle reminders on dates, items, notes, files, etc. and one place to keep all the information.
It's also a great tool for teams who need to utilize reporting, monday.com does this well and allows for budgeting as well as KPIs.
