Overall Satisfaction with Namely
Our company used Mamely from May 2017 through December 2019. It was used as our primary HRIS, as well as our payroll and onboarding system.
- Integration with Adobe Sign let's you trigger and track onboarding paperwork.
- The mobile app is user-friendly.
- Extremely clunky functionality: Payroll is divorced from HRIS; onerous, multi-step onboarding process prone to errors
- Benefits plans themselves were not competitive relative to other platforms and brokers.
- Service and support were particularly bad. Went through many different account managers in our two years and spent countless hours resolving issues on the phone with their support teams.
- Namely caused our HR teams and finance teams a lot of headache and frustration, and hours on phone with support.
We've used a variety of HRIS and payroll software in the past: ADP, Zenefits, Gusto, Namely, and now, Justworks.
Of all of them but, Justworks and Gusto are far and away the winners. Namely is just not competitive with them from a UX perspective, attractiveness of benefits perspective, or level of service/support. Justworks, for example, has a 24/7 Slack channel helpline (which your employees can use), and our team has been delighted with the plans and UX, in spite of no mobile app.
