Overall Satisfaction with Nutanix

I recommended Nutanix as a hyper-converged solution when we decided to retire our old VMware cluster. We wanted to simplify our infrastructure by eliminating the SAN switches and getting better performance by having storage and compute in the same host. Our whole environment runs on Nutanix and all the users of every department are impacted by Nutanix.
  • Increased performance compared to the old way of doing things.
  • Deployment and provisioning of the host were extremely simplified, with the Foundation server doing the bulk of the work.
  • Support is phenomenal, with multiple call centers around the world that will provide any assistance you need.
  • Prism Central is suffering from multiple bugs, with each AOS update bringing more bugs.
  • Improve the LCM, as it sometimes does not work as expected.
  • Better reporting would have data we can collect to determine what is happening behind the scenes with Nutanix.
  • Increased performance for better IO.
  • Simplifying the IT Infrastructure of having an all in one solution of computing, storage, and networking all in one box.
Nutanix has met our requirements as well as our budget to implement the new solution to retire our old hardware and 3Par San.
Support has been phenomenal, although continually hearing that some bugs will
get improved in the next AOS update is getting exhausting.

Do you think Nutanix AOS delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Nutanix AOS's feature set?

Yes

Did Nutanix AOS live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Nutanix AOS go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Nutanix AOS again?

Yes

It's well suited for all environments and all business types, small or big. With 3 node clusters as a minimum, it can be expanded to fit your budget
of any kind. I don’t see scenarios where Nutanix is not appropriate.
