Overall Satisfaction with Outreach

Outreach is our choice for a CRM. It is specifically used for our Business Development department. It addresses prospect storage, email strategy, phone call record keeping, and overall relationship storage.

Pros

  • Outreach allows for excellent social touch sequence designing and implementation. One can interweave phone calls, emails, and social media engagement all in one place for one campaign.
  • Outreach has superior support. They respond to issues immediately and have a live updater on issues noticed in the software.
  • Outreach produces blog articles and other related content to help you become more savvy with their system. They also inform you of new software features as they go live.

Cons

  • The prospect search bar isn't always reliable. You may have to search a couple different ways to locate a certain prospect.
  • The email throttling can lag at times.
  • They removed a feature I really found useful (LinkedIn profile auto-fill in) for prospecting. I brought my disappointment to their attention and their only justification of removing it was that the majority of their users weren't actively using the feature.
  • + Definitely has helped us stay organized with email campaigns.
  • + Ability to track metrics like open rate, click rates, conversation rates, close rates, etc.
  • + Ability to label prospects to help with quick identification.
I would say Outreach is heading in an incredible right direction. They produce features quickly, provide tons of content and tutorials, and they have a mindset of constant progress. All of these aspects to me speak volumes about the company and the tool they provide.
Outreach has very robust reporting. You can pinpoint just about any metric you need to see. Calling, Emailing, User Activity, and Task reporting are just some of the areas that the reports detail out for you.
For smaller teams in business development or sales development, I believe Outreach is best suited. If you're looking for a system with tons of add-ons or integrations like Salesforce, then I believe Outreach will disappoint that expectation.
