Incident management done right.
Overall Satisfaction with PagerDuty
It's an amazing tool. It streamlines incident management by making sure the right people are alerted at the right time. On-call scheduling is very easy to manage, and its integration with other tools also makes it super useful. Overall, I will say it's a must-have for those managing incidents in their organizations.
Pros
- It can automatically escalate unresolved incidents.
- It can send notifications through multiple channels.
- Great analytics.
Cons
- System UI is easy to understand, but the phone UI is a bit complex.
- Although rare but it sometimes triggers too many alerts for not-so-important issues.
- Incident management.
- Automated escalation and routing of tasks.
- integration with other tools.
- We have reduced our incident-solving time.
- It has helped us improve our efficiency.
Of course, it helps us immensely. We can always rely on it to notify us of critical incidents on time without any delay. This means during high-severity incidents, we are never in a situation where we miss alerts due to the tool being unavailable.
Yes, it has been a huge plus. The integration with Slack helps us respond to incidents. when an alert is triggered, it's sent to the relevant Slack channel where the team can begin collaborating in real time.
Its modern incident management response and Run deck automation have allowed us to make workflows that haven't just sped up the whole process but also help us manage and maintain consistency.
Its analytics have provided us with the data and tools we need to improve our incident management response. with its data analytics, we have been able to make a data-driven approach and optimize workflows.
I haven't used it hardcore, but it was ok may be I haven't got the full gist of it, but I really think PagerDuty is really superior to it.
