Overall Satisfaction with PandaDoc

We currently use PandaDoc in our Sales department to automate our proposal process but will be looking to utilize it to automate our contracts. Previously we were manually creating proposals in MS Word which was time consuming and sometimes error prone. We were looking for a way to make it easier for my team and myself to create and approve proposals. We were also looking to improve our proposal format and associated content. Having visibility to when our customers were viewing the content has also been a benefit. The process also helps to ensure our Salesforce records are updated.
  • Creation of reusable templates that make it easy to generate new proposals. PandaDoc's document creation tools are pretty easy to learn and use.
  • Out of the box integration with our CRM. We achieved basic integration very quickly.
  • End-user ease of use is a strength. My team required very little training.
  • Their dashboards are intuitive.
  • Merging previously sent proposals into contract templates could use some work. We are currently investigating work arounds for this process.
  • Their pricing catalog has some limitations in how it updates Salesforce. I would like to see an easier way to update the "sales order value" of our proposals into the "amount" field in Salesforce.
  • It automatically pulls in all contacts from the contact record in salesforce and then requires you to manually de-select any contacts whom you do not want to receive the proposal. Would like to see a "de-select all" feature with the ability to then select only the contacts you want included.
  • Reporting seems okay and admittedly I haven't spent a lot of time with it but it seems somewhat limited.
  • Fitting our pricing into the pricing catalog came with some challenges. I would advise to spend extra time evaluating whether to put your pricing into PandaDoc or keep it in your CRM. The CRM would probably give you better control and integration once the proposals are generated.
  • Provides us with improved tracking and oversite of our proposals and overall volume.
  • Forces better documentation in our CRM and creates more consistency across proposals.
  • Provides tools to more effectively collaborate on specific proposals (avoids back and forth emails).
  • Provides an audit trail of proposal approvals.
Templates have been the biggest impact to us so far. It gives us a common standard and the opportunity to deliver more valuable content during the proposal process.
We use comments but haven't used the other features mentioned here.
Compared to our previous proposals, PandaDoc gave us the ability to create one reusable polished template with links to additional content (website, case studies, demo videos, etc.).
  • We have yet to explore any use cases beyond sales.
We chose PandaDoc primarily due to their price point and ability to handle our pricing catalog.
I think PandaDoc was the right choice for us. Other systems we evaluated seemed to have more limitations than PandaDoc's. I can only speak from our use case for proposals and we went live pretty quickly compared to other projects and we are now fully converted and haven't found a need to revert to our manual process. I'm happy with the selection we made. Customer service has been good our implementation rep was pretty responsive given the low cost we were charged.
