Overall Satisfaction with PandaDoc

We utilize PandaDoc as a proposal-generating tool for our clients. Typically we provide an overview of the platform detailing the process to migrate, team members and key stakeholders and their involvement, as well as a breakdown of our pricing options, terms, and conditions. It allows us to track when the document is viewed and how much time the viewer/signer is spending on each page.
  • Proposals
  • Signature tracking
  • Templated forms for reuse
  • Design functionality is limited
  • User interface is not very intuitive
  • Support is not exactly top level
  • We have been able to quickly generate simple quotes and proposals thanks to the template tool
  • Users are able to be more efficient with their time on simple deals
  • Many times we end up generating a Word document for the larger, more complicated deals as it is easier to format
The main factors that we have seen as far as speeding up the process are the templates that we can create and then reuse, as well as the ability to insert single pieces of content that we reuse into those templates to more directly tailor what is being shown to the client.
We rarely have seen any use or benefit of the redlining and commenting tools. Typically the document gets downloaded and then is internally redlined by clients at their convenience, and with the most used tool on their side, rarely is it done through PandaDoc. However, being able to see when a client is viewing the proposal in real-time is beneficial, and we can get an instant update if it is signed to quickly start moving them through the process.
The look and feel are fine, really nothing of note. It isn't exactly the greatest designed interface we have used, but it does what it needs to do. For a first-time user, it is a bit bland, but you get used to it and quickly find where you need to go to accomplish certain things. The color scheme is easy to view and not overly distracting.
  • Our finance team will take the completed document to then plug it into their quote software. There's no integration between them, though, unfortunately.
PandaDoc is cheaper, and that is probably the main benefit I can think of compared to DocuSign. DocuSign is a better-designed platform that, in our experience, does not cause as much frustration to our users. However, the price is the only off-putting part, hence why we have chosen PandaDoc.

Do you think PandaDoc delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with PandaDoc's feature set?

No

Did PandaDoc live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of PandaDoc go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy PandaDoc again?

No

It is fine for basic templated proposals, but when it comes to designing new templates or creating one-offs, it is not nearly as intuitive or simple. The plus side is being able to track when a prospective client views the document and how much time they are then spending viewing each page.
