Overall Satisfaction with Parse.ly

Parse.ly is used to track engagement, source, and trends for our editorial content and report on editorial articles. Our company finds Parse.ly more user friendly for editors. I use Parse.ly primarily to track hot/trending articles (alerts) and what sources the audience is coming from.

Pros

  • Trending article alerts.
  • User friendly.
  • Custom sorting (for article authors in our case).
  • Automated reports.

Cons

  • A bigger picture view.
  • More detailed look into audience demographics.
  • Customizing from a user standpoint (not set up).
  • Trending article alerts helps identify audiences to serve ads to.
  • Helps editors better understand our readership.
Parse.ly is more user friendly but GA offers a deeper dive into web reporting in my opinion.
I haven't used Parse.ly support other than the onboarding meeting the company attended.
