Good asset management tool, whether intended to be or not
Overall Satisfaction with PathFactory
As a marketer who works closely with sales, PathFactory gives me the ability to create URLs for PDFs and make updates to such PDFs without losing the URL that is distributed through marketing channels. For this reason, sales are always eager to use a PathFactory link rather than a PDF attachment. Also able to provide viewer stats/metrics as sales intel.
Pros
- Easy viewing experience as a consumer of PathFactory content that is published
- Once understand some of nuances how to use it, it's pretty simple to use
- Document maintenance
Cons
- Ease of use for replacing content and maintaining same URL
- Sales intel email notifications would be a plus
- For content hubs, better design options
- Sales enablement
- Asset management and upkeep
- Light reporting
For how we use PathFactory in my part of the business, the tool serves more as just a simple PDF delivery mechanism for sales. What PathFactory lacks is the ability to build landing pages in a simple, easy format. For this reason, I don't use PathFactory to create web destinations (I use my company website for that).
Pretty easy to use once I taught myself how to maintain the URL structure of documents that needed to be updated -- this part was not intuitive. Otherwise, training wasn't hard and simple enough that it was worth it when using it as an asset repository.
Again, from a sales enablement perspective, PathFactory is good for sharing PDFs -- therefore, its use in my part of the company is for low-funnel prospects. Outside of that, the tool didn't have features that were beneficial for upper-funnel prospects/customer acquisition.
