Overall Satisfaction with Paycom

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are nearing completion if implementing Paycom as our HR/Payroll provider. We hope to streamline much of the manual work we were doing previously. We are seeing good results so far. This is a big change for our organization, but we are continuing to see our staff buying into the new processes.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Real time changes to employee information.
Support as we learn the system
BETI is a wonderful tool.
Show Me How tool is an amazing way to help employees.

Cons

Initial training of staff and management. Slow down and clarify things.
Reporting - It is very robust but can be tough to work through to find what is needed.
More clarity when the implementation is beginning. It is important to be sure all of the necessary information is collected quickly and all forms are processed in a timely manner.

Return on Investment

We have taken a 3 day reporting process and brought it down to 1 day with hopes of streamlining further.
Processing of pay changes, leaves, terminations, etc has improved tremendously.
We are not doing as many Excel spreadsheets anymore.

Single Software Solution

We are able to use the analytics to search for possible problems before payroll is processed. The few errors we have had are not a result of payroll or HR missing something, it is the result of an employee not entering information quickly enough. There is a learning curve to the new process, but I can see improvement.

Automation

We are still in the early stages, but the real time flow from HR to payroll has cut down quite a bit of our processing time. We do still have some manual things we need to do, but those are even getting better by utilizing all of the features of Paycom.

Alternatives Considered

Paycor

Paycor was our previous provider, and we had an incredible amount of issues. There was so much manual work to keep information correct, and the flow of information was tedious. Paycom had all of the features we were looking for.

Paycom is very user friendly and the app has proven to be very popular with our staff. The real time processing of information is proving to be invaluable to us. The support staff have worked very hard to get us up and running, but we have lost 3 key members during the implementation and that has slowed us down a bit.
