Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it obviously for pay for PTO tracking, for our benefits administration. We use the performance forms mainly for pay changes and stuff like that.

Pros and Cons

Pros

I don't have any issues, so it's not like I have to call them every time I try to submit payroll. So their software just seems to work. Their customer service is good when I do have a reason to call them, so that's why we've stuck with them. We left our last company because their customer service was not good.

Cons

Their tax department, any issues I've had over the years have been payroll tax related. We have employees in several states and setting up those states and making sure those things are correct is where the most issues have come up. And trying to talk to somebody that actually works with those taxes. You can't do, you have to talk to your rep who then relays and then by the time it gets back to you. So more direct. I mean with the other company I did have a tax person and a general person that I knew I had a different department I could call if that was the issue.

Return on Investment

No negative at all. I guess the fact that the employees get paid on time, it's easy for them to use, not a lot of training for new employee. It's not burdensome to anybody.

With the old system all we did was payroll. So having the benefit administration and being able to track a couple different ways of PTO and stuff like that and keep it all correct, that works better for us. We don't use it for a lot of other outside things

Automation

Well, since we're such a small company, it's quick and easy and no mistakes, so it becomes second nature and something I don't have to think about every day.
