Paycom Review
Overall Satisfaction with Paycom
We use it for everything. So we do everything from onboarding, recruiting, onboarding, HRIS, payroll, learning, and performance.
Pros
- Customer service I think is one of the areas that has been amazing for us. We're able to get what we need when we need it, which is really helpful if you're running payroll and something's not working or you need something immediately. I think the other thing that is working really well for us, I mean certainly Beti, who doesn't love that. However, I think two performance has been a big one for us. We weren't doing performance reviews prior and we've been able to work that into our system, both from an annual and a quarterly perspective. And it's really been hands off because things go out automatically once they're built and we can set it and forget it. And so that's been really helpful for us and has made a huge impact in our organization.
Cons
- There's been a few things on the backend related to pay transparency that we've struggled with. We moved to pay transparency. Of course our state doesn't have it, there's some states with laws and we had a little bit of a challenge getting our information into the system where our team members and our managers could see it. We had to do a little bit of a workaround to make that happen, but we did and it works, but ideally it'd be great if it was right in the record, the team member record versus or employee record versus we had to attach it to the job description instead.
- Positive. It's been a huge time saver from a payroll perspective, it's much less manual than what we had before. Even though we were with a large payroll provider, how things flow in the system just works so much better and we went from it taking four plus days to process payroll to less than two. So the time savings for the HR team specifically as well as manager on the go. For leaders who are out and about, it's been easy for them to jump on, approve their payroll, approve time cards, approve time off, which is again, huge savings. You don't have to be in front of a computer to make it happen and that really fits well with our business.
I think from the perspective that it is much easier when there's been changes or updates, it just happens kind of magically, right? We become aware of it and then we're able to right away use it where in a previous life we had to go in and make changes within the system if something was updated and so this has been much more seamless when enhancements come or changes come out
Well, I think workflows in general that are more automated have been very helpful as well. As I mentioned before, just with payroll and leaders, being able to access information in real time wherever they're at has been a huge savings for us and just team members love it. We have over a 99%, I forget what the measure is, but participation rate and so team members find it easier to use as well. So they're going in there looking for information they need. The ask questions area has been great. Instead of getting emails, we're getting information or questions from our team members through the system, which has been really helpful as well. So we can kind of keep everything in one place versus things being sort of disconnected.
