Overall Satisfaction with Paycor

We mainly use Paycor for time reporting, accrual management, tax reporting and payroll processing. We recently implemented the onboarding platform which has tremendously streamlined the onboarding process. We have approximately 65 full time employees and up to 40 part time/seasonal employees on an annual basis. We also have a handful of employees who work remotely and out of state.

Pros

  • Simple payroll processing
  • Good onboarding platform
  • Accrual management
  • Handling tax reporting

Cons

  • Customer service - it was much better with a designated person assigned
  • The time recording tool is not user friendly
  • The knowledge base has a lot of information, but it’s hard to find exactly what you’re looking for

Do you think Paycor delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Paycor's feature set?

Yes

Did Paycor live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Paycor go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Paycor again?

No

  • Improved record keeping
  • Streamlined onboarding
  • Created a single point of service
Our HR and/or payroll team has saved time, but I'm not sure how much. - I can’t accurately answer this question because the system was already in place when I began employment and has been the only payroll tool I’ve used in my current position. I don’t have another experience in my current role to compare to.
Most areas of paycor are user friendly, with the time entry medias being the least user friendly. The accrual system is good most of the year, but seems to consistently have hang-ups around fiscal year end or someone’s anniversary date.
I would select Paycor over ADP, rate it about the same as Paycom, but if I had to choose again I would choose Paylocity as my number one pick.
My number one complaint is the decline in customer service in recent years. I have had several examples of needing support and had to wait on hold for hours before talking to someone. When you have an open case and need an update you are put through the same call center process again and often the new respondent will only refer your case back to the original respondent. It that person isn’t available you are at their mercy to respond on their time as they will not provide any direct contact information. This is extremely frustrating with time sensitive issues.
