Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for running Payroll, keeping track of all HR functions, including Health Care Benefits, and have just added their Expense module to allow employees to upload their own expenses. Paylocity also takes care of filing our State and Federal taxes.

Pros

  • Onboarding employees
  • Missing tax reminders
  • Running payroll
  • Customer support

Cons

  • The Tax Wizard in onboarding could be more intuitive
  • We are new to the Benefits module, support could be a little better
  • Payroll takes less time with less personnel
  • Benefits should be easier when enrollment comes around
  • Tax time is a breeze
It has freed the HR manager and two other HR assistants to focus more time on acquiring personnel which has become more important with our expansion and the difficult employee retention climate.
Unfortunately, our employees have been slow to utilize any of those tools.
I have no experience with any products similar to Paylocity.

I could see Paylocity not being the best fit for a small company with 10 employees or less; it would seem like overkill. I really have no problems though, for us, the customer service has always been very good from my experience.
