Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We are using Paylocity for employee onboarding, payroll, and timekeeping. The onboarding function of Paylocity streamlines the company benefits signup and makes the entire process a breeze for both the employee and employer. The new hires are able to begin the onboarding process prior to their start date if desired or can be completed in the hospital on the first day of work. The employee simply creates a login and follows the guided prompts to complete the onboarding process. With Paylocity, the employee is able to input their own information into benefits as well as payroll direct deposit information. This self-sufficient functionality gives back many hours to the HR manager by allowing the employee to complete the task at the time of onboarding. The employee's ability to access time off requests and available PTO hours through the app or time & labor portal also save the manager time from having to look up employee available PTO and sick hours, as the employees are given direct access to the information. Employees can make a request effortlessly, and the managers are able to approve/deny requests through the portal- with future available PTO by the requested date also displayed, so we can see exactly how much PTO can be used as accrued. Any time card correction requests are made and approved digitally as well.

  • Less physical document retention, as onboarding is paperless.
  • Enhanced security, as employee onboarding is digital.
Paylocity's automation tools have all but eliminated HR's time spent onboarding new hires, as it is digitally streamlined. HR doesn't need to sit down and sift through piles of paperwork with the new hire, as it is now digital and easy to follow through the Paylocity website. The employee simply creates a login and follows the guided onboarding prompts.
We have not utilized the employee engagement tools yet.
Far superior employee app experience and onboarding self-sufficiency. The Paylocity experience is so intuitive for employees; there are almost no questions once the employee has been set up.

Well suited for onboarding, timekeeping, and payroll. Not as well suited for training or monthly visual calendar view for scheduling. Well suited for the new generation of workforce that is computer savvy. A little more complex for older generations that need a little more guidance. This question is redundant, and mostly covered in the initial review.
