Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity covers the employee experience from recruiting through termination. We use Paylocity's Time & Labor, HR/Payroll, Recruiting, and Onboarding. We also have it integrated with HR Performance Pro (for our appraisals), Trans America (for our 401k program), and Employee Navigator (for our benefits portal). Paylocity has made it very user-friendly. Our employees can make updates to their personal information, direct deposits and tax deductions as they need to without having HR do it for them. When you hire someone, their information flows nicely from recruiting over to onboarding and then to HR/Payroll/Time & Labor. Background checks can be run from Recruiting when you decide to make an offer. Our terminations are stored within Paylocity for any future rehires or verifications. I almost forgot about their customer service. We have dedicated Account Manager and a team to back up the manager when they are not available. They are a very knowledgeable team.
Pros
- Their customer service is very knowledgeable and quick response.
- Integration with other programs we use.
- All of their products are very user-friendly.
Cons
- Report writer - easy custom reporting.
- Our Managers and Supervisors would like to be able to see the individual employee total hours for each day.
- Our monthly expenditure for payroll was cut in half by moving to Paylocity.
- HR spends less time processing payroll.
- We have had less error since moving to Paylocity.
The integration with our annual appraisals, 401(k) program, and benefits have saved human resources many valuable hours, to be available for more strategic objectives. Recruiting has been such a challenge in the last year or two, but the Paylocity Recruiting module has helped human resources immensely. Recruiting allow us to past the position directly to exterior sites as we choose.
I love the Community and Peer Recognition tools, but I have not been successful in having our staff us them. They are very easy to use, so I keep trying. Now the Surveys are awesome. They are also easy to use and there are several templates you can use or customize for your use.
We previously used ADP for many years and the ADP Workforce Now for roughly seven years prior to moving to Paylocity in 2019. ADP was very costly and not user-friendly for our staff or management. This is the only other payroll provider I have ever used and can compare to Paylocity.
