Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
It's our human capital management system. Everything HR that we do is in there. We have just our time and labor with our staff. Our benefits are integrated through there. We do our recruiting and onboarding, applicant tracking through there. So it's really like our hub of everything we do in HR.
Pros
- Our applicant tracking is the newest piece that we have brought on with the recruiting module and it has allowed the communication with our applicants, it's brought it up a level. Previously everything was done via phone or email, but going with Paylocity we were able to text, which is huge for not only us as staff members but for our potential new hires as well.
Cons
- We do a disaster recovery. We have employees in the eastern region of the United States, and we currently use Google to text a mass text and email to our staff if something were to happen. I've inquired previously with Paylocity about being able to text our staff a disaster recovery type message and at that time it wasn't a capability that was there. So I'm actually curious if there is that capability now and where we might be.
- I think the analytics with the recruiting module are key. I think most payroll companies are going to have an app that you can use for that, but I know our staff really enjoys the app and they get a lot of functionality out of that.
I think that it overall, just the efficiencies with timekeeping, vacation, time off benefits, and then the analytics that come along with the applicant tracking as well.
We don't use any of them right now.
Me personally, no, I have not used any other product other than Paylocity. Paylocity is all I know. My staff before Paylocity, they used ADP.

Paylocity Implementation
Yes - most recently with performance and recognition, we had to set this up on our own. We had ZERO help from anyone at Paylocity. Our account rep doesn't know anything and told us, "Yeah, no one here knows about Performance, so you're on your own". PEAK articles get pushed at us. If we are reaching out for assistance, I expect assistance. Not here's an article, read it and figure it out. I think we know more about Paylocity than our account rep does. It's been such an awful experience lately.
- lack of help
- lack of knowledged account rep
- lies told by salesman

Only back with Ian B. was our account rep. He was amazing and took time to talk with us and help us, with anything. He was top-notch.

Upgrading Paylocity
- what upgrade
- Paylocity shouldn't be set as a one size fits all. Businesses are different and it should be more customizable for those companies.
