Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for the Time and Labor, HR & Payroll, and Performance modules. The Time and Labor module is super helpful when you have to allocate employee hours to different departments/grants. There is also a schedule template you can create where you assign to the employee so that their hours are consistently allocated. As a non-profit organization, we handle multiple grants that need to be allocated across several employees.
The Performance module is great because it is within the same system. We used to have a separate Performance application and it would be time consuming to maintain multiple systems. Paylocity's Performance module is easily customizable and user friendly.

Pros
- The knowledge base and PEAK articles are very useful when you need to look something up.
- You have a dedicated service rep and get a fast response time. You can also call and if your rep is busy it will route you to someone else. There are no long wait times.
- Easy to use system for employees, HR and Payroll professionals.
Cons
- Have the same timesheet view that the employee has. Currently, administrators have a different view so it could make timesheet issues difficult to resolve.
- Have schedule template changes be effective immediately, rather than waiting 1 week for the new cycle to generate.
- Allow for special characters/symbols for employee names.
- Reduced Errors (automatically runs an audit report when processing payroll).
- More consistent processes.
It has helped with time management. The onboarding module is great, where the new hire completes all information prior to hire date, and all the documentation is saved on the employee's records. We have E-verify as well.
We've had staff do trainings that are offered by Paylocity, we also have our 30 day review/check ins with new staff that are done through Paylocity
Paylocity is more cost effective as it is one system that connects all the modules together. ADP has so many different add-ons and systems that it is confusing and also very expensive.

Paylocity Support

Quick Resolution Knowledgeable team Problems get solved Kept well informed No escalation required Immediate help available Support cares about my success Quick Initial Response | None |
I was unaware there was an option to purchase premium support.
We had an employee's direct deposit pay returned to us due to a closed bank account that we were not notified of. We had never encountered this situation before and when we called customer support they were able to walk us through step by step of how to resolve the issue. We were very happy with how quickly this was resolved.
