Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

I use Velocity in my daily work as an HRIS and payroll system. We were coming from all paper, and no HRIS system, so Paylocity has really solved a lot of our issues. I use it for Payroll, Onboarding, Workforce, and talent management. There are so many things I love about this system.

Pros

  • The onboarding process is amazing.

  • More consistent processes.
  • Improved employee retention.
Paylocity's automation tools have positively affected our business by making payroll so seamless and easy and much faster than our previous provider. The time tracking is also very seamless and easy to track, way better than our old system. It transfers right into payroll very seamlessly. The scheduling feature has also been very good to use!
I think that Paylocity's employee engagement tools have had a very positive impact on our employee morale. Many of our employees use the community feature to congratulate others, recognize others for something they did, or just stay connected with one another. It definitely helped boost engagement.
Paylocity just seemed to be the most user-friendly on both the employer and employee sides of things. They were also able to work with us more when we had weird requests due to our company still being family-owned. They were able to accommodate all of our needs and requests very easily compared to others.

Paylocity is definitely well suited to small—to mid-size companies. However, I feel that some of the features, like recruiting, might be less appropriate for small—to mid-size companies just because we don't have the volume of recruitment that a large company would when using this feature.
