Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity to process Payroll, manage our Time & Labor, Human Resources, Employee Benefits, Recruiting, and Onboarding functions. We will soon use it for Performance Management also.

Pros

  • The implementation team was remarkable - patient, attentive, knowledgeable, super helpful

Cons

  • Our implementation project manager weasd amazing but he rolled off before the feed to General Ledger and Benefits were complete. I would have referred to keep that in place until those we re done.
  • More Flexibility in development of one data fed in particular would have been helpful.
  • Reduced errors with accurate Payroll to GL data feed
  • Improved employee satisfaction accessing their pay info and direct deposits faster.
  • Reduced errors on payroll processing.
  • CLeaner and faster onboarding and recruiting processes, much better for our managers. It was pretty manual before.
The workflow with notifications of each module/function frees up our HR saff significantly. The automated nature and flow of recruiting and onboarding prevent many things from slipping through the cracks. Payroll, which is accurate consistently, is seen as automatic and very reliable. Time tracking is mor eavsailable than what we had before, so less time spent making corrections.
We have not delved into these very much, but the birthday and hire anniversary reminders have been very helpful.
Superior in every way except Performance to UKG, including customer support. Ease of use and perceived accuracy was a Paylocity win over all of the providers. It's a great balance of being robust but not overwhelming.

Smooth and accurate payroll for two companies. Strong HR and Time and Labor. Benefits module is solid. Reporting is very robust with many existing reports. Mobile app is very functional and easy to use - our staff loves it. Easy to integrate with Okta SSO. Recruiting and Onboarding are exceptional - easy for applications, managers, and staff. Performance module is robust, more than we use.

Using Paylocity

175 - All - Accounting, IT, HR, admin, our ministries.
4 - Admin, distinct for setup and user access. Benefits - expertise required to coordinate benefits for employees. Generalist - Recruiting, Onboarding, HR, Performance, Reporting, etc. Payroll - Time & Labor and Payroll functions. There are also backups for HR and Payroll.

Working very well at a very reasonable price. Full of features, constantly improving. Very good mobile app. Great reports library.

Evaluating Paylocity and Competitors

Yes - UKG Pro. Accuracy, customer support, ability to configure to what we need.

Our process was very thorough. I would have avoided the smaller providers. Paylocity is established and well-known.

Paylocity Implementation

I'd prefer Benefits to be delivered when HR goes live.
Yes - Payroll and HR was the fist, Benefits next, then Performance, and data feeds to GL and benefits providers as those were underway.
Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled - Involve end users at employee and supervisor levels early and often in training educations, videos of the new products.

Paylocity Training

Very thorough. Plus, the product is generally very intuitive and easy to use.

Configuring Paylocity

It is very robust and requires Paylocity expertise to do it right.
Thoroughly map out all of the job codes, GL codes, ervey variable in payroll, HR, and especially Benefits before starting. Know what you need to swee reported and verify that the reports exists in their large library or that is can be custom built. It's best to make sure that your existing data is clean and accurate before migrating.
No - there is no facility to customize the interface
No - the product does not support adding custom code

Using Paylocity

Very intuitive mobile app. Most end users rely on that as opposed to the cloud-based application. Everything is logical and well-organized. Process flows make sense and are easy to follow.

It hasn't been unavailable since we launched
Rock solid, reliable.
Just a decent internet connection is required. Performs VERY well. Mobile app is fast also.

Relationship with Paylocity

Lots of references, all the demos, aall the time we needed. Proof of concept for pain points we had with UKG.
Very responsive, very good support. Helpful for our needs.
They are thorough, care about quality and success, take the time needed to implement properly, answer questions, build data feeds. A professional, caring, very skilled team there.
Price per employee per month per module.
Monthly with no longer term commitment is best!
Being willing to be a reference goes a LONG way in getting them to especially value you as a customer.
