Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for time and labor, payroll, learning, performance, ACA, recruitment, onboarding, spending accounts, COBRA, as well as data insights and recognition and rewards. We hope to implement compensation and the GL module shortly.
Pros
- Self-service portal
- Employee Voice Surveys
- Onboarding
Cons
- FMLA TRACKER! No ability to talk between HR& Payroll and Time and Labor. Makes duplicate tracking and lots of work.
- More tutorials or articles on "pull this report for this resource. Wish they would help by saying "You are in this state. This information is due on this date. We have a report template already built for you to satisfy this requirement.
- If a report is mandated by a state, please don't make me pay for it to have to be customized by your team. If it's mandated by state and federal guidelines, it should be built and included!
- Processing payroll has gone from an Excel spreadsheet to a robust HRIS system with mandated compliance from our managers. If you want to get paid, you have to approve your payroll!
- Employee engagement survey participation was well over industry standard and revealed some interesting insights that we needed to have.
- Reconciling FSA, HSA (both Paylocity and non-Paylocity accounts) is a continuous headache as finance watches our bank account on when items are pulled but there is often no consistency.
Payroll has become significantly better. I would like to see more robust checklists of items I need to remember to do outside of a single flashing message across the top of my screen. Talent tools have allowed leaders to share pools of candidates and become more efficient in their recruitment practices.
Seeing the aspects of Paylocity have had the ability for staff to interact and engage uniquely with others to recognize and thank in real time. The education modules have also significantly improved our workflows from paper to electronic, time-stamped rosters for easy access to pull during an audit.
We used a focus group and voted on the favorite option amongst the group. The group was comprised of leadership and staff across multiple departments and they drove a great deal of insight into how choosing a product was to occur.
