Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

I use Paylocity as our full service vendor for Payroll, HR, hiring/recruiting needs, onboarding new staff, employee time and labor, employee schedules, employee performance reviews, employee health benefits and internal company communications. Rather than using multiple platforms for these different needs as we did in the past which was much less cost effective and more time consuming, Paylocity has helped streamline all of these processes for me to keep everything in one place. It makes the workflow much easier for me, especially utilizing the Recruiting and onboarding feature. All of the features Paylocity offers make it easy to document everything and keep electronic records in one place. Before using Paylocity, I was using paper employee files and had to create different forms and processes for HR, Hiring, Performance reviews and etc. Paylocity has a method for keeping track of almost everything in any area needed.

Cons

  • When emailing service, I hope to receive better responses to my questions/issues. Most of the time the emails go back and forth too many times without a solution and then I have to call customer service to get a proper answer.
  • Keeping track of Skills and Certification functionality does not work properly
  • Significant cost savings. Our prior vendor was charging us over $1000 per month just for Payroll processing and general HR services. We are paying that same price with Paylocity and using about 7 additional services.
  • More consistent processes and better documentation to avoid errors or missing data.
  • Significantly reduced time and manual labor since processes are streamlined and automated.
As an independent practice, I as the administrator have multiple tasks to perform in many different departments in our office. I am involved in billing, front desk duties, IT and software management, credentialing and many other duties on top of HR and payroll management. Paylocity's automation tools have freed significant time for me to focus on all aspects of my work throughout the day without getting behind.
It has created a fun and positive environment for our staff. Our staff appreciates that they can actively participate in Community and also feels heard when asked to complete surveys. The Community tool has also helped significantly with communications to staff regarding benefits, meetings, events and etc. Being connected with the HR calendar helps streamline reminders for employees.
All of Paylocity's features work together and in conjunction with one another. The features are customizable to our needs.
There is no comparison. Paylocity offers so much more to its clients. Their pricing is unbeatable and they provide a much bigger variety of features and customization. I had to use 6 different platforms to cover all necessary areas for our business, when I am now solely using Paylocity for everything.

As an HR/Payroll Manager and Practice Administrator, Paylocity has allowed me to keep much better track of everything and perform my job functions at a much faster and more efficient pace. The stress of manually keeping records of everything is gone since switching to Paylocity.
