Overall Satisfaction with Vasion Print

We use Vasion Print for nearly all printing, though primarily for chromebooks. We are a school so there is a large amount of staff that do all of their printing from chromebooks.

Pros

  • Printing from chromebooks
  • Print queue management for chromebooks
  • Listing available printers
  • Is easy to use with chromebooks

Cons

  • Chromebook use is fantastic windows use a bit less so
  • Vasion Print addon for chrome is needed for windows but will throw errors sometimes
  • chromebook use
  • Signficant reduction on printer discovery for chromebooks
  • Chromebook addon is easy to roll out and use
The windows portion is a bit weak, even though there are limitations as they are using most of the window UI for printing. It would be great if they could more unify the look and feel between chromebook and windows printing.
We have over 100 locations and printing management is difficult, Vasion Print keeps is simple once the printer is published for that location anyone can find and print to it.
Mobility print struggled with some chromebook printing and also the adding printers option for windows was a bit laborious.

Yes

Vasion Print works great for chromebooks and most "normal" printers. The windows support is less good and also it has a hard time with unusual printers. We get alot of printing management options we would not get without Vasion Print for chromebook printing.
