Overall Satisfaction with Proofpoint Security Awareness Training (formerly Wombat Security)

We use Proofpoint's ThreatSim phishing simulator and training modules to educate our end-users about phishing and security awareness; PhishAlarm to allow our end-users to report suspicious email, and PhishAlarm Analyzer to help us with triaging suspicious emails that are reported. These solutions are used across our entire enterprise at WestCare.

  • It has allowed us to measurably lower our employees' susceptibility to phishing attacks.
  • Our internal surveys show that security awareness is improving.
We ultimately chose Proofpoint because it was the best fit for our company with regard to our internal technology, processes, and budget. However, the other products we reviewed all had their strengths.
Support is generally responsive and thorough. However, it would be ideal if there was closer integration with support options within the Wombat platform. Currently, all support (FAQs, KB, tickets, etc.) resides in a separate "Community" that cannot be logged into separately but can only be launched when logged into the Security Awareness Platform.

Proofpoint Security Awareness Training is a great solution that is competitively priced and meets the phishing and security awareness needs for organizations of varying size and industry. For users of Proofpoint's email security products, there are additional integration options. For larger organizations that do not have Active Directory or LDAP (which should be few), maintaining users within the system could become tedious.
