Quickbase is used in various ways at SWA. From gathering changes for systems and/or applications, gathering stats on specific airline data, to mapping of data for various applications. I assist with putting governance around what is collected and maintained in QB.

Our company has groups developing QB in silos. We are working on creating a quarterly meeting for the User group to review best practices. We need to start there to make sure everyone is aware of the current functionality and who has been through some of the challenges that others are currently facing.

We were in fire mode when the tool was created several years back. We are now going back to see how some of the apps are being used to determine efficiencies that may need to be put in place. For example, the use of reporting.
We have restricted the building of the apps to specific developer who have been trained to developed in QB only.
We are always developing new fields and changing data attributes in QB. It has been very easy to test, update, and promote into a environment.
