QuickBooks Enterprise in an Online World
Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions
As an accounting/bookkeeping firm I support QuickBooks Enterprise as one of the products my clients use. Depending on the needs of the client I may recommend QB Enterprise when a desktop user is looking to upgrade. QB Enterprise is best suited for companies that have larger data files, need more robust inventory features, work on a network, and desire more specific customization, just to name a few of the key important aspects it can provide.
Pros
- Robust Inventory features
- Large data files
- Combined consolidated reports
- More detailed customization
- Optimized to work on a network
- Allows multiple users, up to 30
Cons
- Importing and exporting large lists (chart of accounts, items, customers, vendors).
- Bank reconciliations could be more intuitive.
- Upgrade the interface to a more modern look/feel. Something inviting.
- My knowledge and experience with QB Enterprise is another tool in my toolbox. It expands my ability to serve a broader range of clients.
- Since I have more experience with QB Enterprise my memory is looking for the robust features that QBE offers when I am working with the lesser Pro or Premier versions of QuickBooks.
I actually use or offer support to all of the QuickBooks versions. It depends on my client's need as to which product I will recommend.
As for QB Enterprise, I choose this product for my clients who need robust inventory, may have more than one company and want to combine reporting. This is typically a larger company that needs many users and most likely will also have a large data file or require a product with fewer restrictions.
