Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Quickbooks Online Advanced allows us to track sales, costs, and inventory. We are able to watch our freight costs and see how they affect our margins. We are also able to create price books for customers to ensure proper pricing.

Pros and Cons

Invoicing.
Receiving payments.
Payables.

Some reporting features could be improved.
There should be the ability to view a report of only open items on estimates.
There should be the ability to see the last cost, a price book, or a customer's sales history from the account level without taking a report each time or opening each invoice.

Return on Investment

QuickBooks Online has helped us to improve our shipping procedures.
We love the ability to attach files to invoices and estimates. That has improved our accountability.

Implementation

The set-up and training were easy. We used the program immediately after set-up.

Cloud-Based System

QuickBooks Online Advanced has been great for working from home and on the road. We can easily provide quotes from the road, home, or office.

Industry-Specific Uses

QuickBooks Online allows us to set up different divisions for the departments in our company. Similar programs did not do this.

Alternatives Considered

OSAS Traverse ERP and now from Aptean

QuickBooks Online is much more user-friendly than Traverse.

QuickBooks Online Advanced is a great program. There is the ability to create parent-child account relationships. The price books are a great feature, but I wish there was a way to perform a mass price increase on them or to print them to share with customers. QuickBooks Online is user-friendly, and the reporting section can be tedious, but there is a way to get the information you need if you work with it.
