Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

We use Rippling to process payroll, to onboard new hires, to offboard terminated employees, for time off requests, for spend management and for our company's organizational chart. Rippling has helped increase the velocity of our HR and accounting processes. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased as an organization with the software.

Pros

  • Rippling integrates with QuickBooks Online. As such, we no longer have to post our weekly payroll journal entry manually. The payroll journal entry syncs automatically from Rippling to QuickBooks Online weekly. This has helped saved our accounting department time.
  • The onboarding workflows in Rippling are terrific. We have been able to assign tasks to our team when we hire a new team member. This allows are staff to stay organized and it also helps ensure that all tasks are completed in advance of the new hires first day with the company.
  • We use the Rippling spend module to help manage corporate credit cards that are issued to staff members. When a staff member makes a purchase on their corporate card they receive a text message. Once the staff member receives the text message they reply to the text with a picture of the receipt and a memo describing the transaction. This process has helped alleviate the amount of admin time the accounting department spends on gathering receipts and information from card holders.
  • We really like the org chart since it can be accessed by all employees. This allows our staff to see who reports to who and what each employee's job title is. This allows for more effective lines of communication within the organization.

Cons

  • I can't think of any pain points that we have had with the product. We are very pleased with the products capabilities as a whole.
  • We have been able to avoid hiring an additional FTE in HR as a result of the processes brought on by Rippling.
  • We have eliminated credit card spend by cardholders through better transparency in credit card reporting.
  • We have been able to avoid hiring an additional FTE in accounting as a result of the processes brought on by Rippling.
Rippling seemed to align more with where we wanted to go as an organization than the other software options that we reviewed as part of the selection process. Rippling is continuing to expand their product offerings and it already connects with a number of apps. I really feel like we are just scratching the surface with the overall capabilities that Rippling offers.
Rippling support is very efficient and timely. I have never had an issue with someone getting back to me. When I get a response from Rippling's support they always have a solution for the item that I reach out to them on. Overall, I am very pleased with Rippling's support and all of the folks that I have worked with on their support team have been very helpful.

Rippling is a very user friendly. It has provided our HR team with a tremendous amount of tools that they previously did not have at their disposal, and as a result they are able to spend more time on higher value tasks. We now have pre built work flows that assign tasks when a new employee is onboarded with the company. This has helped ensure a higher quality onboarding for new staff. In addition, our staff really like the mobile app. Employees can use the mobile app to submit time off requests, view their pay stubs, change their direct deposit information and access the people directory.
Rippling has been great for our HR and accounting staff. Rippling has helped create efficiencies in a number of areas. Specifically, it connects with QuickBooks Online. Since Rippling is able to connect with QuickBooks Online we no longer have to do a manual payroll entry with each of our weekly payrolls.

Employees now submit all of their time off requests via the Rippling app. Once a time off request is submitted the employee's manager must approve the time off request. Prior to Rippling staff members submitted their time off requests via a paper sheet.
