We use RUN Powered by ADP to, well, run weekly payroll for our employees. It helps keep things centralized, reminds us when we need to run payroll, and we can go in and adjust as needed. It syncs up with our 401k provider, so those deductions are simplified, and we're able to run off cycle payroll as needed for bonuses or reimbursing. All in all, fairly simple to use.

Cons
- Learning curve isn't steep but it's a bit if you're not familiar with accounting and payroll
- Some reports are hard to find simply because they're not where you'd think they should be
- Need more flexibility when it comes to trying to correct a mistake; right now, it's a verification, a call, and then more verification and forms
- Saves us time, so that's good
- Costs more than a stripped down alternative, so that's not great
- Overall, makes our accountant happy as she loves working with ADP so that's a positive because it keeps her time down
Unsure, as no employees have mentioned anything specific to ADP either positive or negative.
Wasn't aware of the mobile app, so we'll have to check that out. Agree that the auto deductions and calculations save us a bunch of time, so that's good. Error flagging has been helpful when dealing with RIF scenarios, and correcting oversights on hourly employees time. So yes, we have saved time and some hassle using ADP.
Our accountant preferred ADP over Gusto because there was more flexibility to run catch up payroll for withholding and/or 401k payments. Personally, I thought Gusto was much easier to navigate and use, but our accountant disagreed. And honestly, making her happy so her job is easier is worth the extra cost.
