Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

It is being used by the accounting dept. for the companies general ledger. Recently, added some additional functionality and also track prepaids, A/R and Fixed Assets in Intacct.
  • Intuitive navigation.
  • Easily able to create custom reports without needing to be an IT whiz.
  • Added capabilities for separation of duties that allows for SOX compliance.
  • Links throughout the platform to easily drill down when researching or approving.
  • I haven't been able to figure out how to find a prepaid ledger that lists all the assets at cost, amortized, and NBV.
  • Add capability to mass approve/post invoices from the "Invoices" screen instead of requiring to drill into individual invoices to post. Create something similar to approving Journal Entries or AP Payments where have the ability to approve at summary level.
  • It would be nice to have different price points for users as some users are heavy users, and others are just poking around every so often.
  • Since the prepaids module comes with the service, this was an immediate positive impact once implemented. It has cut down at least a days worth of MEC time.
We benefit from the AP automation to allow for payments to be processed directly from Sage via ACH with our bank. That is a pretty cool feature. Not sure how the general ledger is automated. We do not use order management and just started to use/implement the accounts receivable platform into our process. One thing that is really nice is that you can upload and attach documents to any/all transactions, i.e. journals, invoices, bills, etc. that significantly cuts down on review process and also helps with audits and research.
8. Some things are certainly intuitive and easily configurable. Other things, like configuring more intricate customized reports for dashboards can get difficult and configuring prepaids and FA we had to bring in a consultant to assist. However, we did update the configuration of A/R ourselves based on our current needs have changed since original configuration.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Out of all the above and against Sage, Sage is by far my favorite. It was easy to learn as it was quite intuitive like QB Online, but it also had depth with its capabilities of allowing to be more than just a GL system and more an enterprise system if needed, or at the least be able to API and connect with almost any/all platforms to allow for extensive automation.
I've had experience with Quickbooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Great Plains Dynamics, Oracle, and Sage is certainly my favorite by far. It has the intuitive and easy to navigate features as QuickBooks Online, but in depth capabilities like GP Dynamics or even Oracle.
