Overall Satisfaction with Scale Computing HC3
We use the Scale Computing HC3 virtual environment for our entire organization. It provides us with an efficient and inexpensive solution for us to run our 12 virtual servers and 100Tb+ of storage. It was easy to set up and implement and their assistance along the way was incredible!
Pros
- Performance increase over previous virtual environment
- Easy setup and configuration
- Easy migration from previous virtual environment
- Support from Scale Computing was fantastic.
Cons
- VLAN setup was a bit tricky due to our current LAN environment and limitations on the number of Scale network interface cards.
- ROI seems positive but we are still assessing
Scale Computing HC3 runs as well or better than our previous VMWare environment at a much less overall cost.

During the initial setup we had many questions which were answered within minutes. Not only did I not have to wait long for an answer, but they followed up with a phone call to make sure that everything went smoothly.

100 - The Scale Computing HC3 is utilized by all areas of our company including Accounting, Customer Service, Scheduling, Production, Photography, Shipping, and IT.
2 - The Scale Computing HC3 is extremely easy to use. It requires some networking knowledge and virtualization knowledge but the functionality and setup is extremely easy to learn. No need to worry if you get stuck since support is only a phone call away.

Evaluating Scale Computing HC3 and Competitors
Yes - We replaced our HP Host Servers, Infortrend SAN, and VMWare Esxi environment with the Scale Computing HC3. Our equipment was aging and by going with the Scale Computing HC3 Hyperconverged environment we were able to save a lot of money while improving our systems.
- Implementation support
The most important factor in our decision was probably the pricing in relation to the performance and storage size. It was considerably less expensive than the alternatives.
I would not change a thing in the evaluation and selection process.
