Overall Satisfaction with Semrush
We use Semrush for keyword research and monitoring keyword performance. This helps us justify organic search campaigns (new website content ) and measure the effect our campaign had on improving our representation in organic search results. We also use Semrush in the sales process to show prospects all of the keywords for which their competitors are ranking but they are not. This helps them see the opportunity in terms of organic search volume and potential organic traffic/leads.
- Tracks keyword changes on a trend line
- Analyzes organic keyword profile for any domain
- Measures featured snippets better than any other tool
- Intuitively allows users to sort and segment keywords
- The keyword that you're researching isn't always included in the data export
- Reports are emailed to users by default (you have to opt out rather than opt in)
- Mobile search volume seems to be incomplete or less accurate
- Keyword Magic Tool
- Position Tracking
- Keyword Gap
- Helps us develop new products (Content Gap Analysis)
- Semrush data helps us close new business
- Helps us report on performance (prove ROI)
Moz was unreliable and not as intuitive as Semrush. The one thing I liked better about Mox Pro was that we could track the same keyword across many zips. This is possible in Semrush, but Semrush requires you to create a new project for every zip. It would be easier if you could just upload/paste all zips into a field.
