Overall Satisfaction with Slack

Slack is used across the whole organization and its main focus, business-wise, is to keep connected not only all the teams by a formal and simple chat, but also to help us communicate with external providers/stakeholders via its integrations and multi workspace capabilities. Another business problem that it addresses is keeping track of everything and it does it by allowing to integrate with third-party platforms such as g-suite, InVision, Lucidchart among others, and centralizing every update/alarm from those sites, giving the chance to keep track of everything really easily

Pros

  • Connect with third party apps/sites such as InVision,g-suite, lucid chart among others
  • give the possibility to communicate within the organization safely
  • managing updates and alarms from third party providers
  • communicate with external stakeholders while keeping a secure channel

Cons

  • improve notifications on Android, sometimes it just doesn't happen
  • allow to share screen on mobile devices
  • Include a feature to send message as an schedule email
  • Productivity increase: 40% less time in meetings/calls
  • source of truth: 60% of data is shared via slack
  • Only communication channel for non formal affairs
[Slack] beats the products listed above by adding a full suite of capabilities that others lack, for instance, Microsoft Teams have a very good video chat feature but in comparison to easy use and access to a bigger range of features offered by slack, it remains behind in the competition. in comparison, WhatsApp lacks integration with third-party apps/sites which makes it not a full capable competitor

Yes

Notion, Lucidchart, InVision, Snowflake, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Sisense for Cloud Data Teams (formerly Periscope Data), Figma, WhatsApp Business
The way it allows users to keep track of everything and it does it by allowing them to integrate with third-party platforms such as g-suite, InVision, lucid chart among others, and centralizing every update/alarm from those sites, giving the chance to keep track of everything really easily. that is one of its greatest strengths. another one is the multiple offers of communication channels such as chat, call, video call and all of them in a secure and really easy way of use
