Overall Satisfaction with Slack

Slack is our main form of communication between our team internally and with our customers/clients. We use the features of Slack Connect to connect with our users at the companies we serve. We use Slack to quickly communicate with team members, share documents, integrate with other software products such as ClickUp, Front, and Google Workspace, and talk with our users directly in order to facilitate quick action. It's another tool we can use to meet our users where they are rather than relying on a singe communication line.
  • Instant messaging with notifications
  • Sharing of documents
  • Integrations with other software vendors
  • Connecting with external companies through Slack Connect
  • More native integrations!
  • Flexibility in notification sounds
  • More control over Workflow builder without having to pay for additional services
  • Instant messaging
  • Sharing documents and images
  • Integrations
  • Allowing our team to communicate, especially in a remote-first environment is invaluable
  • Sharing sensitive information securely is a great feature so we don't have to rely on other software
  • Direct communication with our clients through Slack Connect helps us reach a larger audience and therefore increases our opportunity for revenue
Slack is the superior offering for what we do and who we communicate with. The other programs offer basic features, but Slack continues to innovate and is business-first, which is very helpful for our small team. The feature set and integrations are better in Slack than other offerings we have evaluated.

Do you think Slack delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Slack's feature set?

Yes

Did Slack live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Slack go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Slack again?

Yes

Slack is a great tool to use for immediate communication without having to draft a formal email communique. It's also less formal in nature, so using things like GIFs and emojis is accepted and even encouraged. This can help break the tension in difficult situations or be helpful when describing a situation. It also generally brings joy to others, however it can be seen as a little bit of a nuisance if overused.

Sharing collaborative documents and using the Workflow Builder and Slackbot can cut down on manual repetitive tasks. We are just breaking into this, but we can see a world where all communication is done through Slack and integrations.

Using Slack

Slack is straightforward, but also has powerful features. I have not met anyone with whom we communicate that has had significant trouble connecting with us or sending a message.
