Overall Satisfaction with Smartsheet
We use Smartsheet across Project Management, Engineering, and Prototyping teams. We use it to track development projects, resource planning, and to manage projects. It is a unique PM software because it allows simultaneous access of files between multiple people. PM assigns tasks and can request updates through Smartsheet. Task owners provide status updates on their own, creating more efficient communication.

- Resource planning is a rudimentary, mostly manual operation.
- Cannot create a list of the pre-defined user team.
- Would be good to have visual customization of each project worksheet (such as customer logo).
- Communication improvement saved 30-60 min weekly meetings.
- Lower software cost comparing to MS Project.
Smartsheet has all the basic features of MS Project with a superior collaboration tool. Being cloud-based, it gives user's access from anywhere anytime. Individual engineers and project managers are able to assign tasks and provide updates, improving communication. Project status can be checked easier. MS Project has more advanced resource allocation tools.
