Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Smartsheet is currently used in our company for managing projects. We are able to track tasks, send out reminder progress request emails, and monitor progress from our clients.

Pros and Cons

Reminders.
Gantt charting.

There's a feature gap between the Team & Business levels.
They send out 'info emails' frequently that actually refer to advanced functionality, and doesn't apply to our level.

Return on Investment

Helps us stay in closer contact with our clients.
Helps keep our projects on track.

Smartsheet is well organized and easy to manipulate to a business's needs. While ClickUp has some similar features, it has a higher learning curve, and is not as intuitive. Smartsheet is also well supported, and is constantly being developed. ClickUp is new, and I don't believe has the support like Smartsheet does, although it is cheaper.

It's pretty good, although all email based.

Likelihood to Recommend

Smartsheet is great for task lists and project management. It is useful when you have a project with many participants, and you need to track where everyone is on their part. I would not recommend it for a Customer Relationship Manager, or an Enterprise Resource Planning program (think inventory), as it would not be complex enough.
