Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Pingdom

We mainly use SolarWinds Pingdom in order to keep an eye on the availability of some of our services/servers. We're using the product's "Uptime" service to monitor the health / availability / uptime / response time / outages and by doing so - to be alerted in real time on problematic events via alerts (email, Slack, etc.).

  • Monitor the uptime of servers / services
  • Monitor the response time of servers / services
  • I have nothing in mind to say about areas that needs to be improved in this service
  • I don't have numbers, but the impact is definitely positive since we're being engaged with problems in real time due to this service
Some of the products mentioned here are much more "holistic solutions" for monitoring, analyzing, logging, alerting, etc., but for the use case, we use SolarWinds Pingdom. I think that SolorWinds Pingdom is much simpler and friendlier for configuring and maintaining. We selected SolarWinds Pingdom for this case due to our previous acquaintance which left a good impression on us.
We really never needed SolarWinds Pingdom's support, so I can't really tell anything about the support level or quality they supply...

As I mentioned earlier, for us, the product's "Uptime" service fits us like a glove in terms of monitoring the health / availability / uptime / response time / outages of our servers/services, by alerting us in real time on problematic events. It's UI/UX is very user-friendly, no need to be an expert to add or configure existing monitoring rules. Another advantage is the simplicity of deciding and configuring how would you like to be alerted (for example - we use both Slack and email alerts).
