Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
Splashtop gives me direct access to the desktops of users I support including servers that run the business. Along with fast remote desktop without firewal issues, there is a useful file manager and a system update feature. I can remotely upgrade systems not only from the remote desktop interface but also directly from the Splashtop computer list.
- High-performance remote desktop
- Convenient remote system updates
- Reliable access to machines located behind any internet firewall
- I would like if Splashtop Business could get some of the new features in other subscription tiers
- Lower prices for the new subscription tiers would be most welcome
- Keeping the Splashtop Streamer and the Splashtop Desktop app should be done automatically because I find lots of machines with outdated Splashtop software that I feel could have been done automatically by the Splashtop software itself.
- I was a long-time LogMeIn user and when they increased their prices 10-fold I was happy to find Splashtop
- Splashtop isn't interested in gouging their customers and they truly want to provide an excellent, affordable remote desktop solution
- The subscription tiers above "Splashtop Business" are rather costly so I'm sticking with legacy "Splashtop Business" for the foreseeable future
All of the security features including verification, two-factor auth, and encryption are top-notch and above the industry standard. I especially like the email double-checking when logging in from an unknown or previously unseen device.
The online deployment system is very well thought-out. I am able to easily deploy without giving out system passwords and other secrets when deploying Splashtop.

We replaced LogMeIn, iDrive RemotePC, and generic Microsoft Remote Desktop with Splashtop along.
LogMeIn was price-gouging us even though we were a long-time paying customer.
iDrive RemotePC is antiquated and rather unreliable, though it is cheap.
Generic Microsoft Remote Desktop only works within the local LAN so it has proven to be worthless as a true remote desktop solution.
