Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

I use Splashtop as a quick way to assist my remote users and also have a quick, easy, secure way to access some of my server farm. I have been using it for several years now and it's always been reliable for me, and easy for my end users. I appreciate how it is cross platform capable and that I can even log in to a desktop from my phone in a real pinch. Well worth the cost for the service it enables!

Pros

  • Remote connectivity to servers - EASY
  • SOS support is the handiest feature allowing me to help troubleshoot remotely -anywhere-
  • Ease of use for end users is particularly helpful.

Cons

  • I have no suggestions for improvement - the software works quite well and as expected.
  • Being able to log in remotely means quicker service for my end users, which means less downtime for them.
I haven't had many issues at all. The one time I did need to reach out for help my concern was handled quickly.
The software seems to be robust and secure enough for my needs on Windows 10/11 and MacOS both. Security seems A-OK.
It only took a few minutes to get things connected after I set the service up. Occasionally streamer updates need to be applied manually, but even those are quick to handle.
Yes - Remote Desktop (Yeah, That One) ... while viable was less than secure and certainly not ideal, nor cross platform.

Would you buy Splashtop again?

Yes

Being able to drop into my servers securely to make quick changes or monitor trouble issues has been fantastic.

I recently had a remote user lose access to their machine due to a password issue. It was a bit of a workaround, but I was able to get things reconnected because of Splashtop allowing me to get at the user's home PC/network.
