Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
Our organization has been using Splashtop for 3 years now and it is a great tool for us. We are a small IT team that supports over 2000 employees and many sites, so we don't have the resources to send out a tech to help most of the time. Splashtop is a vital tool for us to effectively provide support to our employees. Splashtops ease of use and the information it provides about each workstation is extremely helpful in troubleshooting and providing assistance to our employees. I'm not sure if Splashtop provides other services but we only use it for remoting into computers.
Pros
- Reasonable pricing
- Has all the features I need
- I use it frequently and it always just works
Cons
- On our newer laptops with intel P/E cores, Splashtop connection can struggle as windows scheduling of resources sucks and the Splashtop service gets low priority. Would be better if Splashtop coded into the program to manage this and run on performance cores during an active remote connection.
- Allows me to fix 99% of issues remotely
Splashtop supports app based 2 factor authentication and I have never had any issues or concerns with Splashtop's security.
I wasn't around when our company started using Splashtop, but installing the client on each machine we install windows on is automated with MDT
