Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

TeamViewer is really just a superior remote desktop control system compared to software like Zoom. TeamViewer has a lot of cross-desktop features that allow you to remotely work with others rather than a basic screen share or other generic remote desktop systems. The remote desktop control has a much stronger response time and higher resolution. It's particularly great for remotely accessing secure desktops when you're not in person at that desktop, but need resources from it. It's considerably faster in operation than other remote VPN access systems like Cisco.
  • VPN logon and security
  • High resolution and response times Remote device access (phones and desktops)
  • Best in class file sharing/software sharing system
  • Improve annotation/whiteboard features
  • The User interface for the whole text chat and contact systems could be better organized.
  • Accessing mobile devices is somewhat jankier than accessing a desktop, but understandable
  • Allows multiple team members to be working on content that otherwise only one of us would be able to work on
  • Can easily gather files from a remote desktop rather than having to go onsite and get the files manually
  • VPN Security features have helped keep technical data secure
Really the closest thing is Zoom. Zoom doesn't have nearly the level of security of TeamViewer, and generally, all of Zoom's features were lower quality. Worse screen-share/remote control, file sharing was not secure, poor audio quality. It was generally just unattractive compared to the features of TeamViewer which made working much more convenient

Do you think TeamViewer delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with TeamViewer's feature set?

Yes

Did TeamViewer live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of TeamViewer go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy TeamViewer again?

Yes

It was practically plug-and-play. It worked from the moment it was installed and all the other features were already integrated into the software. Nothing was complicated to use, but rather worked straight from the moment it was installed. Very thankful none of the features triggered any sort of windows messages or errors.
The Single Sign-on and Two Factor Authentication were really great peace of mind for securing technical data. I and my team members didn't have a use for the HIPAA compliance certification, but it was nice to feel we had a door open for using the software if we ever worked on a Biomedical project
TeamViewer is just hands down one of the best remote-desktop systems out there. While I don't think the voice chat/text capabilities are as good as other dedicated chat systems, the remote-access capabilities make up for it. I got a lot of use out of this on projects where I would need to rapidly share large complex files with other team members and we'd have multiple file iterations working. TeamViewer really helped organize them all and helped us store them remotely on desktops dedicated for the project, rather than only being able to have 1 person at a time working.

Using TeamViewer

Their UI is actually really simple and one of the easier software's I've had to use. The tools all either have clear labels or icons that generally are exactly what you're looking for. It may be weird the first time using each tool, but after that it's pretty easy. Which is like many other software's where somebody shows you how to do something the first time, and then you remember it from then on out.

  • TeamViewer has REALLY fast file transferring which honestly surprised me. Obviously depends on your internet speeds as well too, but was still really impressed at how quick it was to copy large folders over from one desktop to another
  • You can have multiple connections set up if you're trying to do the same thing on multiple desktops, it's so effortless to switch between them, much like you may switch between internet tabs.
  • Being able to connect to mobile devices has been surprisingly useful, and is as easy as connecting to desktops as well.
  • Only thing I found weird was the VPN configuration and the options available. Still trying to figure out that content.
