Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer
TeamViewer is used to access systems remotely where Citrix or a VPN solution is not available. It allows users to interact and continue work off-site, and it also allows users to access different platforms such as Windows and Macintosh systems. We have users connecting globally to access systems in smaller remote facilities and offices, it has become an effective tool during the pandemic.
- Remote Console access
- keyboard and mouse emulation
- file transfer
- Secure
- like to see it used over an SSL connection
- better costing models for smaller companies
- saved travel costs
- provided inexpensive remote access solution
- provided remote administrative access
- provide remote access for end users globally
I have used LogMeIn and versions of VNC in the past, but I found that TeamViewer is more stable, easier to implement, and provides consistent connectivity. Overall it is cost-effective and a more efficient product that can be implemented without the need to open firewall ports and can be installed easily by any end-user.

We were able to deploy TeamViewer for access to Windows platforms and OSX machines as well. We were able to have regular employees install the product easily. It allowed us to implement quickly and provided a low-cost solution. It allowed us to get remote access implemented and file transfer implemented quickly.
We have yet to implement any of these features but plan to implement two-factor authentication in the near future to make connectivity more secure as we use 2FA with our secure VPN and Citrix remote access solutions.
