Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

As an MSP we offer IT support to other companies, on a daily basis we get tickets with issues and there is always a need to connect to customer servers and workstations. TeamViewer makes it easy for us to support customers by connecting to their computers remotely and making changes to solve issues with either network, storage or compute. Instead of taking a long time navigating the London traffic to visit customers and fix issues, TeamViewer makes it easy to do this remotely without leaving the office.
  • Allows me as an engineer to connect to a client computer and offer assistance.
  • Allows me as an engineer to do an unattended sessions were l can leave it running on a server and connect as and when l need to make a change
  • I can also connect back to my office computer to get a file or work on something remotely from home.
  • Allows me to connect with friends and family to help them sort out their IT issues.
  • Ability to remotely file browse
  • Wake-on-LAN feature, this would be a big win for IT professionals
  • Free version of TeamViewer for Linux based home users
  • A virtual collaborative whiteboard would be also a good feature for working with someone remotely
  • Presently we have customers around the world and we are able to offer them support without having to travel, this cuts cost massively and does not keep the customer waiting for the engineer to travel and fix an issue.
  • While working on a document, one can easily grab files from other remote servers easily
  • We have collaborated over TeamViewer instead of organising and scheduling a meeting, meetings can be arranged and attended within hours involving members who are scattered around the world.
TeamViewer is lightweight and the installation is easy compared to ConnectWise which requires an expert to install and maintain. ConnctWise requires about three servers to be set up and users to be trained to use it. TeamViewer has an easy GUI and is very intuitive, making it easy for anyone to use.

Do you think TeamViewer delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with TeamViewer's feature set?

Yes

Did TeamViewer live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of TeamViewer go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy TeamViewer again?

Yes

We implemented MFA to protect ourselves and our customers. Two-factor authentication is set up on each user's mobile phone so that security is also observed within the organization. There is no sharing of MFA code as noted in other organizations. In the event of users losing their phones a remote wipe is initiated making sure TeamViewer MFA codes don't get into the wrong hands
Teamviewer is very good in a client-server type setup, a situation where an expert connects to someone's computer remotely and offer to help fix issues on that computer or access network devices using the remote computer as a jump box. Teamviewer is not suitable for remotely accessing firewalls and switches for example. This would be a great feature if it can be archived.
