Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

We are an ICT Solution Provider company and we use TeamViewer Solution for remote support, remote access, and even for online meetings during solving problems remotely. It allows us to assist our clients remotely specially to solve their network related issues. We can also work with colleagues from anywhere, stay connected with remote devices and office servers through it.

Pros

  • Accessing a remote desktop, laptop, server or network device
  • Remote guidance to customers by taking over the laptop or desktop of the customers
  • Supporting through NOC during weekends and holidays
  • Helping a young recruit remotely while supporting a client
  • Checking office servers from a remote location

Cons

  • The online meeting feature needs improvement
  • File sharing needs to be improved
  • A trail log of all the access and changes done during remote support
  • TeamViewer saves a lot of time and traveling for our engineers
  • We can provide instant support to our clients which make them happy
  • The feeling of 'always working' can be a negative sentiment for some workers
  • Distributed locations can be covered with minimum human resources
The economic benefit is immediate specially if the company has remotely distributed offices in different geographic locations. For us, we are supporting different districts of Bangladesh from the capital city, Dhaka. Also, we are providing remote assistance to our Dubai office from Bangladesh.
AnyDesk is very helpful, almost equally usable compared to TeamViewer.
Zoho Assist needs to develop a lot more to be equal with TeamViewer.
Chrome Remote Desktop is a regular extension of chrome so it does not have all the special features of TeamViewer.
We tried ClickUp once or twice but did not like the interface.

We use single sign-on, TFA, HIPAA SOC2 for secured access to client servers. Without these features, the client does not feel secured and this is a practical cause in the world of cyber threats.
This is the most common and widely used software for remote access.
