Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer
Our organisation uses TeamViewer as a backup option to solve the it support issues. We have a different remote access solution as primary and used this as a fail save. TeamViewer does actually good when trying to do remote acess acrosss public internet.
Pros
- TeamViewer is awesome tool for RDP access. You can control remote computer easily.
- You can transfer files with TeamViewer and it will just work
- it's cross platform and works everywhere. which makes it reliable.
Cons
- It has a big performace issue with low internet speeds.
- It doesn't have any multi monitor support.
- We have a reliable backup when our primary remote desktop access failes.
- We have to pay the full price to use it, even if we don't use it much.
It's not the matter of when, because technical issues happens anytime without warning. When ever we have any issue with primary. We switch to TeamViewer.
TeamViewer works well as back of other remote desktop access solutions.

We use SSO to use our Entra ID authentication, and directly login into TeamViewer easily. No neeed to save passwords. Two factor auth is managed by our Entra. We don't manage it inside TeamViewer.
