Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer
We use TeamViewer as a remote access tool for all of our end users' workstations. We also use it to deploy patches and .msi packages. We can also incorporate our TeamViewer licenses into our RMM tool, Atera, for additional access to our remote devices. Being able to push OS patches and proprietary software packages without the end users being connected to our domain-controlled network has been a game-changer.
Pros
- Remote access.
- Patching
- Installation deployment
- Scripting
- Monitoring
Cons
- Auto update.
- Interface
- Multiple windows.
- Ghost mode.
- Time savings.
- Cost savings.
- Ease of access.
It took no time at all to start seeing economic benefits. Removing the need to travel to different office sites or end-user locations to provide remote assistance saves time and money. It has made the entire process far more efficient.
TeamViewer is a little more robust than many of the other options that we have compared it to. The patching and package deployment option alone sets it apart. The ability to conduct file transfers from machine to machine also gives it an edge where other options have come up short.
