Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

I am the main administrator of our account. I use it to manage employees, run payroll, benefits administration, run reports, and much more. I am fairly new to TriNet, and I have not experienced any issues so far. Our TriNet representative has been very helpful so far and has always solved my questions or pointed me in the right direction.

Pros

  • Portal is easy to use and easy for employees to understand
  • Customer service has been thorough and timely
  • Reports are always complete and easy to understand
  • Payroll is easy to run

Cons

  • More visibility into employee information from the admin portal
  • More control over manager tasks such as approving PTO requests from the admin portal
  • Should have the ability to store personnel files and send documents such as offer letters and job descriptions for signature
The TriNet team has helped with HR processes such as onboarding, benefits, running payroll, running reports when needed, compensation analysis, and compliance.
I have been able to use it for most things but previously have experience with HRIS systems that have the ability to send offer letters and other important HR documents for signature, as well as store personnel files which would be a feature that would be very helpful.

The emails and compliance updates I receive have been very helpful in ensuring COVID compliance. There is a lot that doesn't apply to us since we are a small company of 4 employees. However, I always read through to ensure we are meeting the requirements that do apply to us. The information TriNet has provided has been instrumental in ensuring we are compliant.

I wasn't involved in the selection of TriNet, but one thing I do like about TriNet over the other HRIS I have used is that it is a PEO.
TriNet meets our needs for most things HR, such as running payroll, benefits administration, compensation analysis, etc., but it would be helpful to be able to use the portal to send documents such as offer letters and job descriptions and to store personnel files so we can have everything in one place.
